First of all it was never the intention of Bayer Leverkusen to let Xabi Alonso leave the team after helping them to win the league but when happened was beyond their control so they couldn't stop him, Ancelotti was leaving the Real Madrid team so they contacted Xabi Alonso you don't expect him to reject the biggest team in the world when most players are rushing to play in Madrid. Leverkusen should have waited a little instead of going for Ten Hag but now that he's no longer there
Kasper Hjulmand should try to do better.
Xabi did a great job at Leverkusen enough for them to not wish for his exit but it happened that they could not stop him because at the time he had a better offer and I agree it is difficult to get anyone trying to turn down an offer from Madrid although I do not see them as the biggest club in the world but they are actually a really solid team that both players and coaches would want to be part of due to the kind or antecedent they possess over the years, it is such that players and coaches would want to associate with and so xabi cannot be blamed as we can only hope for the best from Kadper as he joins Leverkusen as their manager.
