I confess that I was shocked when I saw that Nigeria was unable to beat South Africa. It was supposed that with the squad that Nigeria has, they would be able to qualify easily in this group. This raises the following question: could the problem not be with the coaches that Nigeria has hired? because in my opinion it seems that the Nigerian Football Federation should consider hiring a coach who has shown that he has managed to win many titles both nationally and internationally. Someone who knows Nigerian players well.
Unfortunately the Nigerian football team has been declining for years and years, nothing new at this point. Even the quality of the players considerably dropped over time because it's true that they have players such as Osihmen, Lookman and Boniface but what about the rest of the team? In the past they had very good players in every position, now only strikers.

Pretty much the same thing that happened with Camerun: in the past they were one of the best African team, a lot of Cameroonian players in Europe, where are they now? This is football, there are cycles, there are golden generations and there are dark ages.
