We all know you can never get time back, and when you’re losing in gambling and not even enjoying it, that’s time wasted too. Double the stress means a bad day, and sometimes it carries over, because there are always consequences when you’re addicted to gambling.

If you’re someone who values your time, you really need to be careful when taking risks in gambling. Always stay responsible to avoid this from happening. Instead of using that time to improve yourself, you get carried away and end up wasting it all on something that doesn’t even give you anything back.
Not all gamblers mean they don't value their time because there are also some gamblers who only gamble when they are stressed and place their bets just for entertainment, but this is all very different from addicts who often waste a lot of time in gambling places because if we think about it even though they gamble almost every day but they don't get big wins, sometimes even though there are wins once in a while but we can be sure that with that win they can't return the capital they have spent when gambling so we can conclude that this type of gambler really doesn't value their time.

You're right , some people really do gamble just for fun or to relieve stress, and they also value their time, look at this you will find separate 'recreational group' statis, though it is kinda old data. But when it comes to gambling problems, the losses are often severe, mostly time and money,  and even meet DSM-5 criteria such as being overly preoccupied or spending too much time gambling. That's where the big damage really starts. For me, dude , if it's hurting, i set strict limits, i dont hesitate to use self-exclusion tools, and seeking help. There are also standards and self-prohibition options now offered by the industry and regulators.
