basically doomscrolling is aimlessly scrollig through social media without any real intentions. being on social media also generates dopamine which is the same happy hormone that gambling can give you. we both doomscroll or gamble when we are bored. what do you think is worse, gambling or doomscrolling?

is it healthy to engage in these two activities excessively?

Maybe gamble is worse than doomscrolling on social media, doomscrolling can only waste your time but it keeps you company watching trends or reading news online. But what gambling does is that it takes your money your time and you can even become addict if you are greedy. When you are bored id not even the next time to gamble because if you lose you become angry and maybe chase your losses. I will prefer the aimless scrolling on social media than gambling when bored.
