I agree that Igor is gradually leading Juventus to a stable performance. It may not be a significant improvement, but this positive trend must be continuously supported by the club management. Igor is shaping his team to achieve stability in every aspect. If they can become title contenders this season, Igor should be retained. This is the perfect moment when a major team is experiencing a slump, while Juventus is coming in with extraordinary motivation.
Well, at least Igor has started the season with good results, with two early wins, with three goals for and zero conceded. While signing several players who aren't particularly expensive, it should at least strengthen their lineup, both in starting and substitution roles.
And what's clear is that Igor can still utilize Dušan Vlahović as their CF. They've also signed Loïs Openda. We'll see how Igor can manage the tactics, as the next two matches will be tough for them: against Inter Milan in Serie A and Dortmund in the UCL.
Talking about early-season success, it is definitely a lift, however. I do not believe in resting on two laurels. You have also heard that when the time comes to take the test you will meet opponents of even greater talent or even higher order. I perceive less expensive transfers to be beneficial when the new players have a chance to become a part of the team fast, because depth of the squad is very important. It is important to bear in mind that the long-term competition is always associated with the consistent feature and capacity to change depending on the situation. When, as a coach, one is able to plan in a proper manner, such as using strengths as an advantage to the entire team, then he/she has better opportunities of staying competitive on a very high level.
