If Leverkusen had not immediately chosen Ten Hag as their manager and instead chosen another coach before the season started, perhaps Leverkusen wouldn't be experiencing the same predicament as they are now. However, I am more confident that Leverkusen will gradually improve, even though no new manager has arrived to replace Ten Hag. In this case, it will certainly be impossible to compete with Bayern Munich, let alone surpass them and break their dominance in the Bundesliga this season.
I disagree as in first two matches with Bayer Leverkusen in Bundesliga, Ten Hag did not get too terrible results and you forgot that in the last season with Xabi Alonso, Bayer Leverkusen began that season too bad.
Bayer Leverkusen in 2024 -2025 season table shows they got 1 win, 1 defeat in first two matches and if you see their performances in first 10 matches, they got 5 draws, 1 defeat and 4 wins, not impressive.
Ten Hag would have been able to help Bayer Leverkusen wins some matches in first ten matches this season if the club had not sacked him. Anyway, it never happens and I think Bayer Leverkusen were too impatient to fire Ten Hag after only two matches.
