I am 100% biased. This opinion I feel is common sense for anyone who is paying attention and I question how liberals can defend the actions of their party the last several years, but I don’t claim to be non-right leaning.
Black and white aren’t things you can control and don’t define who you are so I don’t think your translation makes any sense and comes off as unnecessarily inserting race due to your own way of viewing things. I don’t view left or right as white or black… This was clearly motivated by politics, not race. The two aren’t interchangeable in any scenario.
That was a very simple example to display "opposite" groups in a polar context (skin colors) not "races". (why do i think about Michael Jackson here, btw?)
I admit, it was a bad choice with plausible outcome. But in this case you're right, but argumenting outside of the "frame" of my simple comparison.
