The maximum coin total is 100M. Since the PoS began from block 1 instead of the last block for PoW (20160), many of the blocks counted during the PoW stage were PoS blocks, so the full 20M PoW coin amount was never reached. The total number of coins mined during the PoW stage was ~9.5M. At 5% yearly stake, it will take an additional 20 years+ for the PoS blocks to increase the money supply to the original 20M coins!
