No matter how we sugar-coat it, government indirectly influence bitcoin in one way or the other since they hold it in reasonable sum and stipulated law in the society.
It's not news any more that government's influence will be felt on Bitcoin, going forward with time. In the past, that influence was shaky but now that government is boldly coming into the industry by way of active participation and positive legislation in favour of Bitcoin; I fear we may see a firm grip in later years to come. I hope we don't get to that point where government may want to control miners to get an overwhelming mining hash rate that can cause disruption in the blockchain. The same government interference that Satoshi fought by creating Bitcoin to eliminate government and middlemen influence in financial dealings, is the same thing that's likely to happen now with government support, coming into this industry.
