Bitcoin is ahead , but altcoins often outperform it in certain cycles. When Bitcoin rallies, capital flows in, and once it slows, traders sometimes rotate into smaller tokens for higher returns. This dynamic is tracked through Bitcoin dominance.

Balancing between Bitcoin’s stability and altcoins’ potential upside is part of portfolio management. Timing is key betting on altcoins too early can be painful, while waiting too long can mean missing opportunities. The question isn’t whether altcoins will move, but when.Would you put your confidence in Bitcoin’s dominance or risk chasing altcoin surges?
Some altcoins do outperform bitcoin in some alt season but the question is how long do they outperform bitcoin? in the short run i guess, do you rather prefer coins with short term trends or bitcoin that has long term trends? and even in the short run, no one knows exactly when it will dump and when it's time for them to dump, it's always heavily unlike bitcoin that DIPs gradually except there is a serious liquidation in the market.

I prefer bitcoin's dominance to risking my money on altcoins because am confident that bitcoin will always perform better in the long term but even if i want to risk my money on altcoins, which one them will i risk on, or how will i know an altcoin that can perform better than others. It is hard to know an altcoin that will pump during alt season so it's better to buy more bitcoins and be safe in the future than risk on coins that don't have potentials.
