You've probably heard people say, "The longer we play, the better our chances of winning jackpot." But in reality, it’s often the opposite and such a mindset can be a trap. Each spin is a independent event, and every second doesn't increase your chances of winning in the next spin.
I have to believe sometimes that such mindsets are promoted by casinos who'd want to encourage gamblers to keep playing and not quit after a couple of losses. But the truth is that the more you keep playing and trying to force your hand to win the more your chances of losing. As a gambler you should learn to call it quits for a day after some losses and your budget has been exhausted and then plan for another day to return with probably better luck. If you keep gambling, you will keep loosing surely, you will loose to a point where you will become vulnerable to depression because you have failed to control yourself, by extension control your losses.
It requires discipline to quit playing after a couple of losses, the kind of discipline every gambler should have.
