I'm not a jealous person and I don't envy rich people for their money and status. Being envy is pointless. You won't achieve anything by sitting all day and hating on rich people to their material wealth.
Are you suggesting that you are trying to "fake" your social status and standard of living when you meet a rich person? I wonder how that would work. Do you buy expensive clothing and accessories? Do you rent a luxurious car or something?

This can't work out in the long term.
You may waste a lot of money and achieve nothing in return. Being honest is the best approach. Show the rich guy that you have talents and skills, and he might hire you or recommend you to other rich people. I know that most wealthy people respect talent and competence.
It's a dumb approach, but surprisingly, so many people do it in the world. They will go to any height only to hide their actual status and make people think that they are doing very well financially but deep down, they are broke, might not even have enough money to have three proper meals a day. Some people would even force their parents and guardians to give them a lot of money to buy expensive clothes and branded material only to look rich, when their parents or guardians can't really afford that, but they don't listen, and they somehow have to manage for their children being so ignorant.
It's a shame and disgrace to make your father take debts only so that you can buy branded clothes and other material so that people can see you being rich or have a high status in the society. That's how bad society has become today, but you can't change it, you can't change the mentality of such people because if their parents couldn't do it, you can't, and I would also blame the parents for not doing a good job in the upbringing of their children, and they are now paying the price for it.
