I am curious what is the one thing that you will never bet with? I am not talking about life because I think almost everyone will say that already but instead I am talking about other things. Like your house, your car or maybe some weird thing like your favorite shirt or the mug your father gave you. Those kinds of things. It would be interesting to see how people value different things within the metrics of gambling.

When I didn't have money and was badly in need of buying basic foods/grocery I used to sell some jewells with the consent of my wife, yet with the hidden goal of gambling some of that money under the false pretense that it would go to our current bank account, of course when time come to show that account I had already fixed it. That is the maximum I have done for gambling and never would sell the car to gamble let alone the house which is our biggest security in this widely unsecure world economy. I will never understand those people who bet their house as these stories the majority of the times end in suicide and destroyed families.
It's not recommendable but understandable if you want to use a very small amount from what you have budgeted for something to gamble. If you are sure that you can be able to replace the money that you took out to gamble then it won't be a problem. But if you have to sell something very important to satisfy your craving for gambling then it's nothing short of addiction. Anybody that calls themselvess responsible gamblers should never do whatever it takes to get money to gamble. They will use their own money, they must try as much as possible to use only amount that they can afford to loose.
