To start investing, you need to be mentally prepared so that you can start investing freely and have confidence in the investment. If you have not yet been able to establish enough confidence in the investment due to lack of knowledge or your mental state is not suitable for investment, then I think it is not wrong for you to delay the investment for a while. For example, if there is a disruption in your normal life due to some issue, if any incident around you disturbs you mentally or if there is a shadow of grief in your family or your personal life. In these situations, I think your mental state is not at all conducive to investment. Or you must be mentally prepared before making any long-term risky decision. This requires some time and good advice.
So, when will now be a good time to invest? Do you know what is going to happen in future? How sure are you that you'll ever be "mentally" prepared to invest?
In my opinion, all you need to start bitcoin investing is two things. The first is a proper understanding of Bitcoin. You need to know the basics, know how to secure your coins and seed phrases and know that you must use a non-custodial wallet.
When you've gotten a proper understanding of bitcoin, what you need next is capital, and as long as you have a source of income, you most likely have capital, except you earn too little that is even barely enough to last you for the month, not to mention keeping something for saving. But if you are able to keep something for saving, then you can also invest in Bitcoin through the DCA method.
I doubt there is any long-term holder here today who had to train himself mentally before coming to invest in Bitcoin. That is something you learn on the job. The more experience you get with Bitcoin, the more you understand it and the more you become mentally and emotionally prepared for what comes.
Three years ago, I would have been losing my mind seeing Bitcoin price approach 100k, but now, I'm not even worried that much. You can only get that from experience.
