I don't know how practical that's, though I've read about people suggesting that. How many words of the seedphrase is the person going to carve into a stone? That's why I don't believe it's a practical reality. Again, there's always that wear and tear that comes when stones stay a long period of time. Anyway, to each what works for them.
Stone is not too solid and it can be broken too so it's not a good backup method at all. It's like manual wallet seed carving backup that is not convenient while there are other backup methods that are available and better against physical damaging threats.

For me, I just jot my seed phrases on papers. I don't even like saving on cloud or email or keeping it as screenshots or writing them on notepads. Nah! I'm ancient when it comes to saving my seed phrases. The ancient way with papers works well for me.
You can store it offline, like paper, which is a safer backup method than on cloud or email or screenshot because cloud and email data can be leaked, your account can be hacked, and screenshots can be stolen if your devices are compromised.
