Curiousto know if anyone else here had similar or opposite experiences with trading comps?

Trading competition can be a test of time and hopefully there's no harm in trying but I don't necessarily find myself doing so because it's not the main point in trading. It has been beneficial to some traders that tends to get involved.
The realistic part of trading is been able to manage risks and be profitable but trading competition can be a way of setting one to achieve that but I don't find it attractive.

Trading competitions are suitable for highly active traders with considerable skills and substantial funds, as capital is key to winning in trading competitions. Exchanges typically consider trading volume, and some also calculate profits over a specified period.
I've done this before and managed to win one of the prizes, but it was significantly lower than the prizes for the top prizes, the trading volume is significantly different, so substantial capital is also required.
