I thought India would not take today's match seriously. Because India has secured its ticket to the final after winning the first two matches. Even though India lost in this match, they had no problem. But we saw a great performance from the Indian batsmen today. This was the highest total in the Super 4 matches. India scored 202 runs.
We also saw better batting from Abhishek Sharma in today's match. Abhishek played an innings of 61 runs from just 31 balls. Besides, Sanju Samson's total was 39 from 23 balls. I don't think there is any possibility of India's defeat after giving the target of 203 runs.
Abhishek Sharma is having great time in Asia Cup. In 6 innings of Asia Cup, Sharma has scored 309 runs. India has got the advantage that all there matches are scheduled in one ground i.e. Dubai International Cricket Stadium. They are very well familiar with ground and pitch conditions. Target of 203 won't be easy for Sri Lanka to chase against strong Indian bowling. Sri Lanka after showing good performance at group stage was not able to win matches against Pakistan and Bangladesh, that's why today's game is just a formality.
