I have been gambling for years, maybe I have been addicted to it at some point even though I never noticed, however I'm a little in control of my gambling activities. Something still get me confused regarding gambling addiction that is a hot topic here and I want to get opinion of others on these areas:
- How do you know you are addicted to gambling
- How easy it is to be addicted to gambling?
- Can an addicted gambler work himself out of that addiction without help from anyone, if yes, is it still addiction?
I am not yet an experienced gambler like you but I think that by establishing self control you can keep yourself away from gambling addiction. I have been gambling for the past few years and in the early stages I was almost addicted but I was able to overcome it very easily because I did not have much money to gamble with. When you feel that you are unable to stop gambling on your own after starting, you should assume that you are addicted to gambling. If an addicted gambler has sufficient funds, in most cases they will not be able to stop or reduce their gambling with the advice of someone else. To get rid of the addiction, you should try to establish self-control by reducing the amount of money allocated for gambling. Following the bank roll method can be effective in controlling yourself.
