Re: Back then, people gambled whole Bitcoins - imagine the value today

So for discussion purposes,
Do you think the players back then had no idea about the future value, or they just didn’t care?
There are two fundamental differences between use cases and investment assets. Bitcoin is not only an investment asset with the potential to increase in value, but also a means of payment or currency. Gamblers spend their Bitcoin as a currency or means of payment, not as an investment asset. Therefore, I don't think it's a good idea to judge how they spent their Bitcoin in the past just because the price of Bitcoin has risen to its current level.

Some of them may be aware about the potential future price increase of Bitcoin, which is why we find them investing in it and holding on to it for as long as possible. Such people certainly get a worth it return, but those who spent all their Bitcoin as currency in the past shouldn't be considered bad either.
