I agree with you! Long before bets, sport always havebeen part of the global culture... they draw crowds and spark passions that go far beyond the final outcome of a game. So I think bet are like an extension of this people's engagement have with their favorite sports... it is a way to follow your team, athlete, or championship even more closely. Its an emotional think that is unlikely to disappear, even if gambling someday disappears.
And lets face that slots, roulette and others is cool, but they are based only on luck, right? They do not generate the engagement that sports betting does... they dont encourage bettors to research, learn and stay up to date before placing a bet. I think that is the big difference, it is what makes sports betting so interesting and addictive.
