Open thread: What is your type of perception about bitcoin; do you consider it as a currency or as an investment asset or both?

It has both characteristics. As a store of value, it is the best there is, and it also has properties as a medium of exchange. The problem is that it is too valuable to be widely used, and there are also scalability issues that prevent it from becoming so. Besides, there are too many alternatives for day-to-day payments. So I see it more as a store of value (investment) than as a medium of exchange (currency).
As a store of value for the long term due to its very limited supply and even more difficult to obtain.
All the circulating supply will also not move at all, some Bitcoins cannot be opened and used because the user does not have access
or the user is dead or something like that and this makes Bitcoin even rarer in the future.

For as a currency or medium of exchange it only depends on regulation or full adoption of Bitcoin as El Salvador does,
but this is full of pros and cons as there are some problems that occur.
Now Bitcoin is truly the best long-term digital investment asset with real gains to date and the rise will continue.

In developing countries, Bitcoin is also used as a commodity asset or as a trading asset that takes advantage of the volatile nature of bitcoin
and crypto with highly volatile price movements and this can provide profits.

So Bitcoin is not only limited to digital investments, but is a digital asset that has many uses and can build many innovations from Bitcoin and other cryptos.
