You are absolutely right, its been corrected now. I guess this is what happens when you publish these overviews so early. 
i think that a big reason for the overwhelming increase of our nigerian friends is that word has gotten around there that if you are on this forum for a long time and actively participate, you can eventually earn real money with your posts
and that is of course the goal of many nigerian users, because the $40-$80 in BTC per week is a lot of money in this region and if you extrapolate that to a month, you can get by well with the money and then everyone wants to take part in a signature campaign
in my opinion, the same also applies to the regions around the philippines, indonesia etc.
The fact is that people from less developed parts of the world can make a living via signature campaigns so that's definitely something that brings them to the forum.
