In 1 st ICC Women's World Cup game was played today and this game was concluded between India-W team and Sri Lanka-W team. Sri Lanka-W team won toss and they elected bowling first and gave batting lineup to india-W team. India tema set good target 269 runs in 47 overs by losing 8 wickets. Deepti is good player of india-W team and today she batted well and scored 53 runs in 53 balls and hitted three 4s. Kaur also played great with Deepti and she grabbed 57 runs in 56 balls and hitted five 4s and one 6s. Sri Lanka-W team failed to chase target and lost game by 59 runs. Deepti got player of game award because her contribution in game was mind blowing she only played good in batting but also showed good struggle in bowling and took down 3 wickets. Sri Lanka were still in control of the match when they lost two wickets for 82 runs after than the wickets started falling regularly. Due to which they ran out of wickets before the allotted overs. It might be difficult for the team to win against the Indian women's team but if they could have kept wickets on the pitch and scored some runs it would have helped them to reduce the gap. No one could play a good innings for Sri Lanka. Chamari Athapaththu, as the captain of the team, certainly tried to fulfill his responsibility.
