Some of the OGs here are clearly uninformed about such financial matters...so grown men childishly act out like bullies due to their own ignorance   Tongue
If you're going to be bearish in the WO thread, you have to be ready to get some hate.  I'm just beginning to warm up my bearishness.  Come December, people in here will be chasing me with pitchforks.

It hasn't worked out for you too well to be fucking around trading, so this time you have it figured out?

hahahahahaha

Part of the reason that you are still trading and trying to ongoingly talk your book is because you have failed/refused to focus on buying and/or holding.. which would have had negated any need to be fucking around trying to trade and act like some smart ass who "knows things."

Traders/gamblers/wannabe know it alls have difficulties changing... so yeah, go ahead.  You do you.

Keeping 4-5 years in cash is a lot of fiat hanging around.. .though there could likely be ways to do some variation of that, so it probably is not totally unreasonable.. to consider..

Let's say, for example, that a person had been in bitcoin since 2017 (using your forum registration date), and sure maybe he front loaded his investment, but let's say that he largely had put most of his investment into bitcoin over a couple of years.  Let's say that he put 2 years worth of his income, and so then his average cost per BTC might have had been around $10k or perhaps even less than $10k.. so maybe something like $8k per BTC.

If his income was $50k, then that would have had ONLY gotten him around 12.5 BTC, so, from my perspective, not quite enough BTC to be able to stack away 4-5 years of fiat.  From my perspective, he would have had needed to get into bitcoin sooner..   Of course, if his average cost per BTC would have had been closer to $6k rather than $8k, then he would have had been able to get 16.67 BTC.. and he would be in a better place,  yet still I would consider that borderline to be taking out 4-5 years of fiat from that... .. not totally unreasonable but there does not seem to be enough of a cushion to cash out 4-5 years worth of fiat.
funny thing is although you spend so much time and energy in the WO, you don't seem remember much about what you talked with other long-term users...

that brings me to the conclusion that talking to you might be a waste of time...

True.  Dat.

I tend to repeat myself, too, though I still speculate that I may well be learning some things here and there along the way.

I think that I have frequently proclaimed that it is problematic to keep too much cash on hand, but surely when we get to a higher level of wealth, it starts to make less sense to keep value in ONLY a couple of assets, such as bitcoin and dollars, so there can be value that comes   from diversifying and part of that diversification can serve to support us during periods in which we might not want to sell any of our bitcoin yet we might be willing to sell our other various assets and/or currencies.

Hell, I'm bigtime bullish on Bitcoin , but despise how some of the OGs here are shitty-ass, punk bullies that need their brainless head shoved up their ass and be taught an important lesson in life about what usually happens to bullies.

Huh?  So you are here to teach some of us a lesson?

You don't sound like a very good person.

I'm on the same damn side as everybody else here; positive about Bitcoin

None of us are on the same side... and you for example seem to believe that spot ETFs are the same as bitcoin, since daddy Larry told you that he is backing up all of the ETF shares with bitcoin.

- but all some of the people here want to do is rile up others. Those types of people are worthless scumbags.

If you get questioned, then you are being "riled up?"  I doubt it.  If you learn how to be nice and perhaps don't go on the attack, we might start to get along with you after a while, but you choose to keep digging yourself in deeper, including wanting to "teach some of us a lesson," which surely comes off as a threat.

Karma has a way of taking care of bullies when they least expect it, usually in a very significant way...

Do you have plans to help to facilitate such "Karma" by proving to the world that you have agency?
