Bitcoin was the pioneer. Don't forget that Bitcoin gained notoriety because of Silk Road and the illegal transactions. As illegal as it may have been, it bridged the virtual/physical gap.

I have been on board mining POT since day one. I believe the opportunity in POT is unusual in the crypto world because it has that same chance to target a very defined and accessible market and bridge the virtual/physical gap.

You said a lot of good things, but that right there. That is what i have been trying to find the words to describe and why i think potcoin has a future.

I thought this at the start , but Bitcoin was helped because it was the ONLY way to buy drugs from silk road, Potcoin isnt needed to buy weed. everyone is still smoking weed without Potcoin and no one was buying drugs from silk road with out bitcoin.

Completely agree.

However, POT by design is going after a legal and defined market. Yes, people will still buy weed. And yes, eventually the government in the US will get their act together and allow for bank accounts and such to support the legal trade.  However, there is still a segment of people that are going to be uncomfortable with swiping their credit card at a dispensary and want both a secure method of payment and a method that does not require carrying around wads of cash.  With POT you provide an alternative method of payment for ALL transactions, not limited to the Silk Road variety.  It just happens to be focused on one market.

Now that being said ... the bigger concern would be if a marketing/point of sale company came a long and decided to approach these same dispensaries with Bitcoin based systems that provide the same alternate payment options. That would completely hang POT out to dry. The only way to minimize this is by being first and being entrenched in the market.  But still if it happened, I think it would be tough for POT to compete - Bitcoin is just too big.
