sgtmoth, you did get it bad, bet yours were shaken around like maracas!! you even have broken capacitors, wowser.
a question for the 'electroinic's guys" on here
can he get this stuff 'fixed' for beer pizza swapped boards or is this first order (which would be nice to salvage and stick it to knc)
or is from what you see from his pics ...completely unfixable?
curious
(my jupiter showed up held together with the middle gone in soggy box and had thus to be hand carrieed 2 hands by the dhl guy...and was full of
rain water...it worked fine...my only view is it got wet at the beginning of the trip and had to be hand carried with the midddle 1/3 gone soggy mess
and all
then they said they were gonna 'improve their packaging"
someone lost that memo
Searing
It depends on the level of damage to the PCB. If the PCB pads are intact (not missing and/or lifting) the board can likely be repaired. However, it's likely going to be a huge pain in the ass trying to find where all of the capacitors go in sgtmoth's case. If it's one or two it's not too bad. If the boards are that damaged there's no telling how many other solder joints are compromised and checking that will be a huge PITA.
