So you make a Qora address and use that to sign the same BTC address you sent the stake bitcoin?

Yes... definitely fool proof... you can actually make the signature public and it wouldn't change a thing in terms of being a safe way to provide qora with an address... people that sent BTC from an exchange wouldn't be able to do it this way of course... so your list idea is still LIVE!
Seems the way to do it then. I did learn how to sign with my multibit account for my stake. Its easyish for most people I think, maybe the odd tutorial would be good to link.
Maybe the list could just be for those who sent from exchanges. I imagine there are only a few if any..
