i am finding blocks like crazy, but way too may orpans Huh
you are not alone...
either some nods are messing the network, or the haspower is not propperly distributed and the network is abused with some pool having too much hashpower so blocks found by others are orphaned mostly...

edit: based on the pool stats here: http://jackpotcoin.miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool
the pool has 2GHs which is around 70% of the network which has 2.9GHs: http://explorer.jackpotcoin.info/stats/
so there is probably the reason why others gets too many of orphans...
that pool is basically running the network itself which is sad and ruining the coin.

Funny thing is that maybe the actual 'jackpot' is running counter-productive to what is good for the coin.

Everyone wants to be in the huge pool to have a better shot at getting at least a slice of the actual jackpot when it hits...

Maybe there needs to be some kind of cooldown on the same pool winning again for a certain number of blocks in order to get the miners to spread back out.

1 block cooldown for every 10,000 coins in the Jackpot won? that would be a 9,000 block 'timeout' for the 90mil coin jackpot.... Maybe that is a bit too severe, but after examination something could be developed that would balance the load out rather than make more want to go join that pool.

Maybe some kind of diminishing returns on pools at the percentage of overall network hashrate goes up.

I think the next big thing to be solved by a coin will be how to keep an even distribution of the mining pools and make it worth everyone's while to make that happen in an orderly fashion no matter what the overall speed is.

Just talking out loud here... those are my thoughts. Smiley

The pool owner closed registration I believe. I just happened to mine with them from the start since I had an account from their other pools, but I've since switched to solo. Sure being on the winning pool is nice, but if foolish greed ruins the coin, none of it matters anyway. You're absolutely correct, we need to look long term here!

Greediness will only be shooting themselves in the foot here. Too many thinking about getting rich quick overnight, haha.
