Tonight's Update

A funny thing happened during my reconciliation work. While squaring the announced BTC contributions with the actual sends, I came across my allocation. I actually found a minor mistake in my favour.

In Category 3, or >0.1 & <1 BTC, I'm put down as having contributed 1 BTC. But a look at my sends in the blockchain shows the two of them totalling 0.9998 BTC. So, I knocked myself down 0.2mBTC and moved on.

Okay: it's little more than symbolic. But it does symbolize "Fair Distribution." I'm making sure that the allocations precisely square with the sends. My account included. "Fair" means Fair.

With respect to the dev group, we've settled on the standard Web client that comes with Nxt v.1.0.+. It's a slick little number with intuitive features, built with good ol' JavaScript. Appropriately and carefully forked, it'll be the base client for NFDv2.

We also discussed the official Nxt white paper, which is the best read to get the lay of the 'Nxt++' land. If you haven't read it, it's here:  http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Whitepaper:Nxt  After reading it, your confidence in Bitcoin may be lowered a tad. Wink

In case you missed it, here's MaWo's estimate of the time to launch:

Release date depends on development progress.
We don't want  release only a working client. We want release a client, which we fully understand and which we can enhance.

We do it in our spare time, so please be patient.
We will need at least 3-4 weeks.
In other words, more-or-less the same time as the scam IPO ran. Fitting, that we'd take the same amount of time doing the work that NFDCoin should have done in his spare time. Angry

As your entire team familiarizes ourselves with the base client, we're already brainstorming a little about tweaks. We're getting there day by day, slowly but surely. Reading the Nxt whitepaper, poking around the Nxt source code, accumulating the skills that'll make for a capable hand come launch day.

We're getting there, which means you're getting there too!
