And transaction confirmations slow to a crawl... great...

So my wallet's transaction history gets littered with pages of conflicted generate transactions, and I can't even spend coins.  I am certainly disappointed by the quality of this switch-over so far.

Sounds more like a known bug that you didn't bother to fix.  I would hardly say something like this is 'normal'.

I certainly hope the dev's get their shit together on this.
