I'd respectively disagree. A 1500 page thread is useless when 95% of the posts are FUD spreaders, trolls and people posting in giant read letters every time they can to derail any conversation, that alone would turn off any prospective investors quicker than a new moderated and constructive thread like this one is now. I think it's largely a moot point anyway as most people are using the subreddit now anyway, it's far better at organising a community than any single thread on decade old software like it is here.
