Indeed you're right, for now. However, both Vault of Satoshi and Prelude.io offer doge to fiat trading, and Cryptsy will too as soon as they allow usd deposits.

DOGE will never get to that point although that is the wishful thinking. It will die if steps arent taken right now. (I like doge)
