Quite a few, actually. Everyday I see posts on reddit about people buying ASICs for Doge, and I did that myself. And because they use such a small amount of energy, it might even be profitable even with the small block rewards of 2015.

This is just an idea a developper had, which is indeed very bad. Thankfully, I don't believe the Dogecoin community will accept that.
ASIC does not mean profit.
Profit = number of coins x price of coin
Number of coin: your proportion of hash rate to the network hash rate x block reward
Price of coin: supply-demand relationship -> also max coin supply and the speed they are released
Buying the 450kH will get you as much DOGE as mining with a CPU today in a few weeks if not by mid-summer.
With the proposed increase in coin supply, don't expect DOGE to be worth anything.
DOGE had the best community but it seems devs are clueless as ever. DOGE is going back to its roots, in the LMAO category. Investors and merchants cannot take you serious.
