i got a quick question about masternodes that keeps coming up while debating drk.
does each mn do the mixing alone or do they get mixed through all the mn's?
if the latter is true wouldn't someone need to control 100% of the mn's to track trans?
the reason i ask is because people are saying that the nsa can buy up a majority of the masternodes and track transactions. so if the nsa owned 80-90% of the mn's they could track 80-90% of the trans, is that right? thanks
The plan to fight against this scenario, as described by Evan, was to make multiple DarkSends possible through multiple nodes. So if it goes through 10 nodes for laundering, one must control not 1 or 2, but all 10 to find the money flow. In this way the bad actor scenario is significantly diminished.
I'm not sure what the state of current implementation is. I think, from what has been written, that there will be a more eloquent or effective approach in RC3. We'll find out.
