My guess is GPU miners fleeing Scrypt for any and all alternative algorithms.
I think people are tired of HEATING their houses during the summer, mine X11 and save power in 2 ways, less to power the cards and less AC needed.
It has been shown that other coins mining hash rate goes down during the summer, now they have a way to make money with less heat and electricity!
Supposed to hit 107 here in Arizona tomorrow.
X11 is blessing for me
