If this is true, you just proved that IE really tried to do the same thing again.
This coin's devs make a huge mistake at trusting him in the beginning, and they did right in kicking him out.
Analysing the whole thing that i saw here, i think the only thing wrong with this was the post deleting. But i think that started after IE (that is correct?).
