It seems to me that confidence in the dev team by serious investors is what matters. If it was going to freefall, it would have done so by now. Big whales are holding tight. I'm sticking with the big boys

Big whales are big because they were lucky to get btc early or some other kind of investment or finance or they got big because they learned how to play the market and know how to recognize true innovation early on. If they threw all their bitcoins into stuff like anoncoin, auroracoin etc. they wouldn't be whales for very long
