You don't understand this? What pnosker is saying is that Vericoin can be useful for SMS because it has ultra fast 10 second transaction times, but Bitcoin cannot because it has 10 minute block times.

I don't know how I can say this more simply. Bitcoin has 10 minute transaction times. The only way that you can send it faster is if it's an off-blockchain transaction. That means it is essentially not using Bitcoin to send that money. If you can't understand that then I think we have a communication barrier that is just insurmountable.
