Most definitely! It could do that and much, much more... I think that people in crypto get impatient, but real development takes time.

BlackCoin has more real development going on than I've seen in any other coin that's not already really big. The github codebase is really active, rat4 works hard and lately there have been a lot of other contributors. And there are a ton of community projects going on.
