Go look at the githubs of most of these 'competing coins' and laugh. Usually they are like a barren wasteland. You can almost see the tumbleweeds rolling through.

Sounds like something that can be abused.

While commits
could be abused to increase the overall count, great devs - including Rat4 - document every commit with the improvement/bugfix each code-change does. Any time I look at the recent commits applied to BC's source code, I often think "wow, why hasn't anyone thought of that before?".
To be brutally honest, Bitcoin's blockchain innovating wouldn't be so stagnant if devs like Rat4 didn't choose to innovate with something else... BlackCoin
