Cryptonote is open source. The whole idea is to propagate the technology and make something good out of it.
Monero just happens to have the leading inertia. It doesn't mean that Bytecoin is
. A lot of people have been scared away from Bytecoin due to the premine thing.
Most people in BCN are also in XMR so it's only natural that there's going to be debate here in this thread. I don't see that as a bad thing
