For pow solo mining, Do I have to unlock my wallet or something? or do any other changes inside the dmd wallet?
I am trying to solo mine with the diamond kernel, no blocks until now.

i wasted a night of mining too forgot to unlock 20 stale blocks......
so avoid this i always suggest use a new wallet without password for mining
and once a day transfer the earned coins to ur main wallet
