Hey guys, I have a fair amount of PIGGY and sent them from Poloniex to my own wallet.
Since interest/staking is new to me I am wondering how many times interest is paid, is it like every 24 hours?

Interest/staking will start at block 8000 but you need to have your coins inside your desktop wallet for interest to be paid (I don't think exchanges pay interest, do they?). You will also need to wait 8 hours, that's the minimum coin-age in which your coins start to generate a stake.
