I'm sorry, but there's nothing shady about Coinbase.  They're probably one of the most legitimate BTC businesses and payment processors, besides Bitpay out there.

If you're questioning their actual validity and solvency, I'd suggest you do some research before posting nonsense.  Andreas Antonopolous, chief security officer of Blockchain.info, even did an audit of them earlier this year:
