This was to counter a recent 51% attack, this shouldn't be a problem once it switches to PoSV.

Just sayin' that Cryptsy would do that to any coin that is 51%-attacked, and this kind of problem most likely won't happen when the switch to the new algorithm will be made, so your criticism is invalid.
