A lot of people in general believe the stock market and a casino are one and the same. To be honest, with their limited abilities, this might actually be true for them 
Yes and I really hate this kind of attitude towards investment in general: People who never spend a single minute on getting informed about finance because of disinterest and laziness calling markets "casino", thereby proclaiming that gaining knowledge about finance is worthless and implying that their disinterest and laziness is the perfect attitude toward this topic.
It's clear and perfectly fair that people who are not interested in educating themselves get burned.
