Oh also this should be on every American's radar (and all in the world as well)

As Social Security has been fumbled by our Federal Reserve Bank fellows like Greenspan and such, well, it's time for the sad news.

BUT, they blame it on the "a public that's increasingly comfortable with accessing services remotely."  ...Oh yes I am sure the elderly and the disabled are more happy to get less you stupid asses.

Read this to yourself many times until you understand how a scissors works.

[...]

Since 2010, the Social Security Administration has closed 64 of its more than 1,200 field offices as well as 533 mobile stations. Those offices were spread among 30 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Twelve offices alone were shuttered in New York, followed by Pennsylvania, with five closures, and California, Florida, Louisiana, Puerto Rico and Texas, with three closures each.

Budget cuts have gradually forced the agency to close all remaining field offices on Wednesday afternoons and to cut back by one hour every other weekday. In December, the agency announced it would no longer provide benefits verifications and Social Security Number printouts. And it has cut back on benefits statements mailed to prospective retirees.

Nancy Berryhill, the agency's deputy commissioner for operations, told senators the moves are partly in response to a public that's increasingly comfortable with accessing services remotely.

So in gangster terms, this is what you call a "cut and run" or "running away with your three card monte setup once the lookout gives you the signal"
