I reviewed the few prior posts from red123 and did find it a little odd that he was buying btc and giving them away, but to each there own.  I come out of pocket all the time to give them away just to spread them around.  I also asked why he didn't just go mtgox->dwolla->account if this was to be a regular exchange.  He said it was a time factor and that he didn't want to wait the couple days for dwolla.  This is something I can relate to.  I like to be able to exchange quickly and spendbitcoins.com is down for update.  Hence the reason I'm selling via pp to a noob.  I also checked that the paypal address was verified.  I weighed the risks and gambled a bit with this transaction, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and I hope I don't end up paying for the lesson learned.  Thanks for looking out p4man.
