There is no mining in Nxt. An unmoderated thread was started on this forum and people were asked to give 'a few satoshis' to determine how the distribution would be made. If you ended up giving 1% of the the BTC collected, you got 1% of the coins. This was open to everyone one the same terms for almost 60 days. 103 people expressed an interest but only 73 actually came forward to claim their stake.

No one was interested in Nxt, even after it was launched. How can you blame Nxt for that? And aren't your more interested in what the distribution is like today rather than 7 months ago?
