Horizon could easily be working with QHD prototype screens from an LG G3 and waiting for the panels to arrive next year to up the resolution a bit- which is pretty similar to what they've hinted at.  But good luck convincing others that QHD phones don't exist too and that you couldn't strap them to your head with a couple of cheap fresnels!

Well put!  ;)That's what we're hoping.
QHD screens are already in the hands of so many kids and their new G3's.  Seriously, I bet if Horizon claimed to use these instead and give only QHD this guy would still cry they don't exist or some nonsense.   He doesn't seem to get the idea of a pre-order campaign. Or he's downright just slandering the competition.

Of course there's always risk in a campaign far ahead.  Oculus didn't have sh*t when they started.  At least guys show a prototype and have 4K screens coming from a couple of manufacturers in 2015 to back it up that it should be mainstream by then.

but what are you gonna do-  no one on this board hardly beleived KNC when they started either.  Just look at the beginning of that thread!

I have no regrets about my pre-order, and if they don't bring 4K next year, some other VR startup will- but that won't be Oculus since they use only one screen.

But why would you want to finance their operation?  They don't appear to be offering interest on this loan.  They don't appear to be offering equity in the company, or profit sharing, or anything.  Forget about believing in their business plan for a moment, why would you or I or anyone else want to give them an interest free loan?
